Lunch-time lectures are held every spring focusing on the heritage and culture of Cork. Venues include Crawford Art Gallery and the Exhibition Centre, St. Peter’s Church, North Main Street (formerly the Vision Centre).
It’s a free event, and all are welcome. Lecture topics include music, song, literature, history, archaeology, and art of the city and surrounding areas.
2016 lectures were: Dr. Sean Pettit: The Streets of Cork in 1916; Mark Cronin: Blackpool 1916 - A Cork suburb at the Crossroads; Liam O'hUigin: The Life and Death of Terence MacSwiney; John Jefferies: 1916 and the Cobh Volunteers - Rebels in the Bastion of Empire.
In 2017 the lecture series focused on the theme of Cork Arts, Music & Culture.
